I am a little upset finding out that my usb jack on my pearl is broken. I first noticed it when i would plug in the charger and i could physically move the jack up and down in the phone. Called rogers and the door knob at tech support said there is only a 30 day exchange warranty, further reading on this forum tells me that the warranty should be 1 year.

In the meantime, being a very curious person i read the disassembly instructions for this phone, and dissembled it. the freaking usb jack was right of the board and the 5 little wires that are in the jack were all mangled.

needless to say, i need to get this fixed.

Can anyone recommend a repair shop that specializes in bb repair in the greater vancouver area in bc canada?
I guess, worst case scenario is i can have it shipped anywhere (only in canada) to have this fixed. Can this be fixed?

Should i just glue that plug back to the board and put it back together and get it warranties? I would just rather get it fixed.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It's a known issue. I had to get a 7105t replaced under warranty for that. When I called TMo they looked it up and said it was a common problem. It takes very fine soldering. You could probably have it fixed but you can pick up Pearls for less than $200 so it may not even be worth it.
