New Pearl on the way!!!
 

My new pearl is on it's way. I should receive it Wednesday, I can't wait! What are some of the first things I should do with it? Is there anything a lot of newbs do that I shouldn't?? :)

Get familiar with all the features/options before you start adding software and customizing it.

Don't drop it into liquids. ;-)

Don't install just everything, remember to get a microSD card for your pearl so you could put your music and all your pictures on your Pearl... You should get a protective skin or a protective cover on your Pearl to protect it, good ones are the Seidio rubberized one, and a BSE skin. Have fun with it, it's a great phone.

This is too broad a question. You have a couple days, read up on the Forum, take notes.

Like others said: Perhaps most important, don't start modding the phone right out of the box and don't be installing everything under the sun [that is, programs mentioned on BBF].

Read the Forum for info on cases, skins [like Best Skins Ever] and buy those two things immediately. You need to protect the Pearl, it is fragile.

When you get the phone, search and read BBF and over the next few weeks set up the phone the way you want, remembering that there is no need to do "everything" members talk about in here.

I left if broad partially to get a wider variety of responses. I *think* I know what case I am going to get... the Sedio thin gel case along with a clear protective film (I can't remember the name at the moment).

From reading your responses and the forum I don't plan on installing a bunch of apps. I did want to install the Gmail mobile app, Calendar Sync, maybe color pearl. Or would I be better off avoiding these for a few weeks?
