Default How to add contacts to speed dial?

How do I add members from my contact list to my speed dial? After it's added, how do I call a person that is on the speed dial list?

OMG! Welcome to the forums

From your main screen, press and hold a key you want to be a speed dial, and you should get the question 'Add speed dial to key..' from there, it will walk you thru adding the contact from your Address Book.

Once it's set, just hold that speed dial key for a few seconds (while at the main screen, not in an app), and it will dial that speed dial.

Thanks so much for your quick response. I'm very new to BB device. Sorry for asking such a basic question.

Okay, I can try but in the BB buttons, there are two letters assign to one button, so how do I know which one it will use?

The 8100 (and all of the non-QWERTY modesl) actually uses the numbers (for those keys with numbers) as the speed dial assignments - and only 1 speed dial per key. So instead of thinking your assigning a speed dial to 'R', it's actually assigned to the '1' key.
