You really need to read up on the posts and threads in here. Movie and audio stuff have been talked about ad nauseum.

Short answer, your thread title mentions movies, but your post talks about "WMA" files.

WMA stands for "Windows Media Audio, which means music files. WMA was Microsoft's competitive product to MP3. Your Pearl only plays MP3 files.

If you have WMA files you need to convert them into MP3 so they play on the Pearl. There are lots of freeware programs on the Net that convert WMA to MP3.

As to video, did you mean to say "WMV" files?

If so, WMV stands for Windows Media Video. While WMV files did catch on, meaning there are lots of WMV movies out there, the Pearl only plays AVI files.

But all AVI files have to be converted to play in Pearl AVI format. In other words, an AVI file will NOT play on the Pearl until you convert it into Pearl AVI format. A very common mistake with new Pearl owners is that they transfer AVI files on to the Pearl [on to a MicroSD chip] thinking that such will work because they are AVI files. But they will NOT until you convert them to the Pearl format.

There's a sticky on how to do all that [convert video files into Pearl format].

Now search the Forum and learn about all this instead of wondering why your files won't play on the Pearl.

So you are saying that on the Pearl, with the later operating systems that the Pearl will play Windows Media Audio files? That's news, I did not know that and have not read where anyone has said that.

I can't try it because I am still using the original 42 OS, the original T-Mo one. And T-Mo is only on 4.2.0.64 and they say that the Pearl won't play WMA files. So I guess it's the OS's later than even T-Mo's.

What are you saying in your other sentence? "You refer to another thread" is what I assume you meant to say. If so, what are you saying?
