I set up all my blackberry software, but when I went to transfer, the only two folders I could transfer files to were "pictures" and "ringtones". I tried creating a folder, but I couldn't find it on my phone. I tried putting the .txt file in the picture folder, but it wouldn't show up either. How do I view .txt files through my MemoPad application? Thanks a lot guys. |
Well, obviously since 1gb chips are $15, get one. Just this weekend I had to set up some programs on my brother's PC. I needed to transfer some programs from my PC to his. Simply hooked up the Pearl, opened the chip via Explorer and put the files on to the chips directory [and not a subfolder]. Went to his house, plugged in the Pearl and cut/pasted the files on to his PC.
Go to Amazon, enter "microSD" and all the vendors will show up. On Amazon I have used vendor "emartbuy," they have fast delivery and best prices.
For now, if you have e-mail service, simply e-mail yourself the txt or doc material, in the e-mail text section, in other words, NOT as an attachment. I have done that with some files, saved them on the Pearl and I have access to them any time in my saved messages folder.
This is the best workaround, IMHO, because I am not sure you can create folders on the Pearl's internal memory. [See below BB manual, page on folder creation. MemoPad folders are not mentioned]. Others can correct me on this, but I have not used Desktop Manager to try to create folders on the Pearl's internal memory, that is, outside the media folders. Maybe it can be done, but I dunno. Same with using MemoPad. Never have.
And I don't see where in MemoPad one can create folders. But maybe if you e-mail txt files they can be opened and saved in MemoPad?
