Your help please Hello All, I just bought a new laptop with Vista. I rely heavily on my BB pearl, and need to sync with my computer. I am still synching with my old computer since that has desktop manager on it. I have two questions. 1. Is there anything special that I must do before installing on Vista? Does it even work on vista? 2. Random: Is there any software that keeps track of what you spend. For example, I remember my old nextel had a little program that would allow you to enter spending records. Anything simple would work. I just want to be able to store that I spent 2 dollars for food on my phone as a record, for example. I did a search but was not able to find sufficient info regarding the vista question. Thanks so much fo all your help :) |
Just make sure you are using the most up to date version of the Desktop Manager. It's version 4.2 SP2. Also, I believe that you have to "install as admin." I don't use a Vista machine but I think you right click on the file to install and there is an option to install as admin or the like. As far as the spending app, I'd probably just use the memo pad. I'm not familiar with anything like that. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, just that I'm not familiar with it. However, check out Handango or the other software vendors for that kind of stuff. Hope this helps. |
