Default Outlook contacts won't transfer to Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

I am new to Blackberry! Every time I try to transfer my Outlook (2002) contacts to my device I get the "unable to write or update application data" message after the desktop manager has read all the entries and asks me to add the data to the handheld. I've looked at the log for answers but can't figure out what's wrong. I can't imagine that there isn't enough memory in the device. Everything else (memos, tasks, etc.) transfers just fine. Help!

meyer, you probably (very likely) have an entry in your contacts on Outlook that has NO first, last or company name entry (like an email or phone number alone). The BB must have one of the three (first, last or company) to "connect" with. Scan your Outlook contacts and see if you can find which one.

I am getting errors when I try to sync my BB with Desktop Manager - BlackBerryFAQ

Good luck!

I know I had an issue when I had "Me" in the address book. Would only go through the name before that. Deleted that one from the address book and it worked fine.
