Default cant disable password

Please Login to Remove!

When i go to Options..Security Options...General Settings...The field where i would click to get the menu for the password ENABLED or DISABLED is not there...It only says ENABLED and has a RED "lock" next to it...As in the right to change the password to DISABLED is denied....

Anyone have a fix for this?

In case you need it..My version is 4.2.0.71

also where do i download the internet browser and other games and applications for this phone..i just got a 2 gig mini sd for it and want to load it up

Are you connected to your company's corporate BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server?) It sounds like you have an IT Policy restriction on your device. If you are receiving your company email on the device then you can't remove the policy. If you purchased the device used and are using it for personal use only then you can use this thread to remove the IT policy. Don't attempt to circumvent your company's policy. You risk your job doing so and the policy will push back to the device as soon as it connects again anyway.

ok so i followed part of what you said.(thinking i could cheat)..i did the regedit and connected to my pc and opened up DM and it asked to backup and it did it succesfully...then i looked at my phone and it asked for the password and was saying something about it policy and then i put in the password and went to the password options in security and it was there to disable it...works great now....and i didnt even have to wipe clean and start over....so whatever i did worked.....thanks
