Question How to add/delete icons on home screen?

Please Login to Remove!

How do I delete any of the icons at the bottom of the BB home screen if I rarely use it? And how do I add those I needed often onto the home screen?

I take it you're using the T-Mobile zen theme? When you're on the icon grid - after hitting the menu key from the home screen - the first 5 icons are those that display in the zen view. You can move an icon to the top of the grid by highlighting it and hitting the menu key.

Many thanks for the response. I'm not sure what theme I'm using because I am very new to BB. However, my carrier is T-Mobile. I'll give that a try.

Okay, I just tried that. It didn't work. When I highlight the icon by using the track ball and then hitting the menu key makes list disapeared. The icon is not display on the home screen. And how about deleting the home screen icons? How do I do it?

With that theme there will always be 5 icons on the bottom. If you don't like that try a different theme. There will be an icon for each application on the phone (calendar, brickbreaker game, BB messenger, all of the ones that come with it). The only way to delete an icon is the delete the entire program. You can do that in Options/applications. But to not have the 5 icons on the home screen you have to try a different theme (Options/themes). To move the icons hit menu from homescreen and all the icons are there. Highlight one (don't open it with the trackball), menu, move icon, and move it where you want it. The first 5 are on the bottom of the homescreen in the today theme I think.

Right 4.2.0 used the list. Scroll to the very bottom of the application list and there should be an "Organize applications" option. You can move them around with that.
