I got a pearl for 6 months but I did not find the following solution :

Is it possible to be alert by a ring when I receive a SMS ? and when the phone is only vibrating when it's a call ?

I mean, I would like to hear when it's a sms and not when it's a call just vibration....

Choose profiles/advanced/highlight whatever profile you are using and hit menu/edit/sms text. From there you can set the ring option to "none, tone, vibrate or vibrate+ring".

You can choose a diff ring option for every event and for in or our of holster.

I've been trying to figure this out. I had been using the default settings but want to make new ones. Thanks jady
