Default sync calendar at home (outlook) and work (BES)?

Please Login to Remove!

My Blackberry is setup to use wireless sync with my work calendar. Can I set it up to sync at home as well when I plug it in? And how do I set that up? I prefer one calendar with all apointments, and did the same with a palm and later a pocketpc.

I already tried some settings myself and ended up with losing the wireless sync, so I thought I'd ask some help before ruining more.

Using the desktop manager, you can do it, but you should probably set it up to import not sync. I don't have BES, but it may mess things up. You can always ask your BES admin.

Where can I find the import option? And will that really sync? I was recommended to configure DM for BIS, and now I can sync contacts (but I don't sync them wirelessly)

When you have the BB connected, open the Synchronization menus and select the configuration tab. Drill down through there you can find different settings.

I don't believe BIS let's you sync wirelessly. But I could be wrong.

on one of the Tab it says "direction" and just bring the entries from desktop to BB and you will be fine.

Thanks,

Just plugged in my Pearl at home. I have DM setup for BIS. When I go to Calendar Sync I can setup OUTLOOK and pick either Import or synchronize. I havent set it up yet since I did something wrong here last week and IT just fixed it this afternoon (my wireless Calendar sync).

-If I choose sync calendar to outlook here, will it mess up the Wireless Sync?
-What is the difference between import and sync?

Sync is 2 way. Import is one way. So you want to ensure that you select the way you want.

Thanks. Does Blackberry support sync to more than one device? (Calendar using BES and using DM at home?).

Anyone please? I'd hate to mess up the wireless sync part again in one week

Just tried it. When I set it to sync with outlook I got a message that was not possible because wireless sync is already configured. Looks like I can only use one or the other. with my windows pda that was never an issue.
