So far I am loving my new Pearl but... When I press the "silence" button on the top to keep the phone from ringing when I am at a movie, meeting, etc... Why doesn't the speaker show it's muted? I can't tell if it's working or not. Am I missing something?
I believe the mute button on top of the phone only silences in-coming calls. If you want to prevent ringing on later calls press and hold the # key from the main screen. The # key will toggle to/from a vibrate only profile.
The mute button on top is to silence you on a call. Like if you press it, the other person can't hear what you are saying. I find it very useful for when I am on the phone with my mom or dad and I am doing something else!
