Default New Pearl battery question

Please Login to Remove!

Hello ... My new Blackberry Pearl is coming in the mail tomorrow and I had a question for when I get it. Should I recharge it without using it at all for a certain amount of time first? Or is it okay to plug it in and use it while it is recharging? And, if I do use it, or not charge it all the way the first time, will I notice a diminished battery life?

Do a search of the Forum where I have posted lots of info on the Pearl's battery. Just enter "lithium" and they will pop up.

No need to worry about doing anything that you describe. Use the battery out of the box if you want.

The only reason manufacturers say to charge the battery before using it [out of the box] is so that it will be fully charged [and so people will not call customer service with battery complaints].
