Exclamation Unlocked Pearl browser Problems

Please Login to Remove!

i bought a unlocked TMobile Pearl the other day and im having problems connecting to the internet. My carrier is cingular and i have the data plan. My home screen says "Data Connection Refuse." Is there anyway i can install a AT&T software or change a setting so i can browse the internet? I dont wanna have to sell the phone. Other then that this phone is great.

Reality... if you have the BlackBerry Data Plan (you said you did), pull the battery and reboot the BB. See if the Data Connection Refused message goes away.

i reboot the phone and its still having the same problems. When i try to use the Browser it says

"Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device."

So does that means i have to call AT&T?

Well you can. If you aren't getting the Data Connection Refused anymore, go to Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table, and click to REGISTER NOW. Pull the battery and reboot again. You should get a message from AT&T regarding registration.

If still no browser, you need to send your service books, follow these instructions:

Wirelessly posted (8100: BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Would it be a good idea to do register now and resend service books routinely/once a month ?

Doesn't hurt but shouldn't be necessary.

That won't help. The software and settings you can enter have nothing to do with the issue. After trying the above suggestions, call at&t and verify that your Blackberry data plan is properly provisioned (it's pretty common for at&t to mess up provisioning). The Data Connection Refused problem is what you need to resolve first.

hey, guys
I'm using this device in Moscow, and unfortunately have a same problem.
"Your device does not have any browser conf... bla-bla-bla"..
Also, I found nothing (!!) in my Advanced Options -> Host Routing Table /no entries there/.
Our local provider has no idea about Blackberry at all

Is there are anybody who can send me these bookmarks?

fabritius,
Unfortunatly without a Blackberry Data Plan you will not get a browser. If your phone plan has a standard data plan you *may* be able to use Opera Mini to access the web but results vary and are not guaranteed.
