Default Going to the UK....how's the BB service?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm going to be heading over there in Sept. I'm wondering if my US Tmobile service will work over there. I have the international plan and my other non-BB phones worked fine. I'm just wondering if my BB service will and what type of roaming charges there are to send and receive??? I get a lot of emails in a day.

Thanks,
Tom

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

On my way home from Europe. As long as you have international BB data plan, you will roam onto partner networks at no additional charge. Voice will cost ya. Use email or IM service for your communications. I have used all over AP and Europe with good luck.

As was mentioned, add the international plan. Coverage-wise, you'll be in good shape. Your best bet is to manually select Vodafone.

Is the BB international plan different from the Tmobile International Service plan?

I don't think so - I have international roaming enabled on my phone and I did not do anything else to have data going.

You'll have better coverage in the UK than in the US. It'll cost you, but the coverage is as good as any CDMA cell phone in the US.

Orange worked better for me than Vodaphone while I was in Scotland last week.

Yup -- the former prevents you from incurring roaming fees for email while overseas. The latter only addresses voice (you'd still pay a roaming fee on email and data).

Thanks all! I know I pay roaming fees for voice and data before. I guess I'll call Tmo and ask.
