Default 8100 making telephone calls by itself

Has anyone heard of the 8100 making calls to numbers in the address book without any user intervention and whilst the handset is locked? I have a user who claims his device called someone in his address book whilst it was locked and outside his reach (during the night).

Yea, then your user needs an exorcist for his BlackBerry, not a techy.
I have not heard of a ghost-dialing Pearl.
