OK, I got this lastnight. Today, I downloaded the color trackball and a theme. Do I add these using the Desktop Manager...if so, do I want the .jad or the .cod/alx? Also is there a way to increase the volume levels....like the earpiece/speaker/ringers....using hex editors or seem edits?

Gix... downloaded to where--your BB or PC?

Cod/alx files if to your PC, and install using Desktop Manager and Application Loader.

Jad files if downloading directly to the BB via an Over The Air (OTA) download and install directly on the BB.

Good info....I was not aware "OTA" meant "over the air". Yes, I downloaded to PC to install using desktop manager. Thanks for the reply.

Welcome.

Volume Levels... there are some workarounds, most of which involve just pumping it up in some software like Audacity and reloading the ringer to your BB. If you look around the Media section of this forum, you will find a few threads and suggestions in that regard.

Yes, with Media Manager you can transfer images, or if Mass Storage is enabled you can drag and drop from Windows. You can still email yourself the images and download from the BB email.

Thanks again....Sorry for all the newb questions. I'm very good at modding moto phones, but new to this. Is Media manager a part of desktop manager?
