I'm trying to figure out how, or if, I can delete mail on my server and have it delete mail on my BB.

Here's the scoop:

I have an IMAP server and things seem to be just fine. I get email on my server, a couple minutes later my 8100 gets it. I read mail on my BB, it shows up as read on my server. I delete it from my BB, and choose "Delete from MailBox", it gets deleted from the server. Now, the problem comes in from doing things the other way. If I read or delete from my server, my BB never notices it. I've had an email on my BB that I got 6 hours ago that I deleted from my server, but it has stayed on my BB.

I tried Reconcile Now. No go. My setup is

Delete on Mailbox and handheld
Wireless ON
Conflicts Mailbox wins

I just got back from my Tmobile store where I asked them about this. YES, they said, your mail should be deleted from the BB if you delete it from the server. "Try it on your's" I said. He tried it, and it wouldn't delete. 3 guys at Tmo tried and couldn't figure it out...on their BBs. After 40 minutes, I finally had to go. This was a Tmo store....not a 3rd party.

I asked them if I have BIS or BES and no one could answer it.

When I hit Reconcile Now, I don't show any special activities on my IMAP server....Like the BB service isn't checking my server.

Has anyone deleted (or read) email from their server and have it delete (or shown as read) from their BB???? If so, how did you set that up??

just go to your email folder, options, email reconciliation and make sure that your setting is on mailbox wins. that way whatever is in your mailbox should be on your bb, not the other way around
