Default BB As Modem without DataPlan

Please Login to Remove!

I have 8100 with Cingular (no Dataplan), if i use my BB as modem does Cingular charge me for data transfer or its just the minutes i use?

After doing exactly this on my Motorola RAZR, I've attempted it on the Pearl and spent many hours trying to figure out why this would not work.

Apparently, the BlackBerry does not support DUN and you can't use it to make "data calls" like some other phones can. The bottom line is you'll need a data plan if you want any kind of Internet access on a BlackBerry.
