So please explain. I called AT&T to get insurance for my 8100 that I bought less than a month ago. The sales person at the corporate store forgot to offer it (so I thought).
Imagine my surprise when I was told that no insurance was offered with smartphones. I asked about LockLine... and was told that Asurion(sp?) bought LockLine out and did not offer insurance thru AT&T. I was told to contact RIM about insurance options...
So I just asked the lady why insurance was offered for the free phones, and not a smartphone that costs anywhere from $400-600 to replace. The lady just said that's the way it is.
So: What do I do about insurance?!
