Default unable to silence incoming calls

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everybody,

I am a new blackberry 8100 user. I have set my ringer in old phone mode, when ever I get a call, I am unable to silence the call.

I tried using the mute button on the top of the phone and several other keys, it mutes for only 1 ring and it rings again. If I hold the button then the call gets disconnected.

Could anyone help me how to handle this please.

I think that was fixed in later software versions. What version is on your device? Check under Options >Status and look for a version number that starts with 4.2.x.x

Clark is right. I had the same problem with the original OS. After an update I was able to silence calls.
