Default im a noob just got it today questions!

how do i change my background i downloaded the desktop help support software and i have a usb cable i got a couple of questions

1) I been charging my pearl with my mini usb cable (lol the same one i use for my psp and surprisely it charges) and my question is how long does it take to recharge completely?

2) how do i transfer my image files from my pc to my pearl and i wanna change the background

3) i see you can have your own music as ringtones my question is how do i transfer mp3 files to it?

4) and finally wha other applications should i look forward to it?

You need Desktop Manager in order to download images, video, ringtone and song to your pearl. You can install the Desktop Manager using the CD that comes with it.

Once you have the image downloaded to your pearl, you can click the menu button and set it as background.

finally, check out this thread or do some searching for what application that most people recommended:

must have blackberry software (please list)

when i open desktop manager it doesnt show the media manager option

any tips?

If you don't have the media manager option in the desktop manager go to Blackberry.com and dowload the newest desktop manager (4.2.2).
Also and FYI - if you're looking to put a lot of music and/or pics on the phone I would suggest getting a microSD card you can get 1GB for about $15 online, it's better to save media on the card and leave the device memory for apps.

Wish I can help, I dont have the latest one.

Installed it two days ago and uninstall it. I still prefer to use the older version.

Hope someone else here can help you.
