This is my biggist annoyance. Im on T-Mobile running 4.2.0.64. Is this a known 8100 hardware issue or software? I am extremely hessitant to update because, from what I see the updates have problems of thier own, but I would be willing if later os verions fix the problem.

I'm on Orange in the UK and have the same experience.
Press to answer an incoming call and there is a significant delay before the call commences. I've never had this on any other cellphone.

is it a problem with the pearl in general or is it something wrong with the current OS version?

You guys need to get a firmware upgrade for your 8100s in order to fix this issue. I've had the same problem with that build and it was fixed after a firmware upgrade.
