Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good program that will take your music down a few bitrates and put them in a different directory or something for transfer to the Pearl? One that would synchronize that directory with your high bitrate collection would be awesome!

With my previous devices, I am used to Windows Media Player automatically doing it, and transferring it to the SD card. I can have it do that too with the Pearl, but the problem is it places the music in a Music directory off the root of the SD card, and the Pearl music player expects them in the Blackberry directory. I suppose another solution would be to configure the music player on the Pearl to look for its media in a different place by default. So as an alternative question, does anyone know how to change the default location in which the media player finds its media?

And before anyone says it. Yes I know I can use the media manager to transfer my music. But it does not change the bitrate of my music. Mine are all pretty high at 192 as a minimum and 256 as my max. And before someone asks why because you cant perceive the difference past a certain bitrate, yes you can if you have a high end system, which I do play my music on. LOL just thought I would get that out of the way because talking to people personally, those are the things they say.

Nevermind I answered my question by upgrading to the latest desktop manager 4.2.2 and it comes with roxio media manager to handle that stuff for you.
