Look at Phone > Options > Smart Dialing. Enter your country code in this format "+xx" where xx represents the numerical country code.

You don't need the "1" in front of all your numbers if entered in Smart Dialing.

Hi Ramzi,

I imagine you are in KSA? Well I am in Dubai and I have the same problem. If someone calls me from their cell phone then their name appears as in the phonebook.

But, land lines are an issue. For example if I have the entry with "+country code, city code, number" then the call does not show the name from the phonebook. On the other hand if you have entries for land lines in your phonebook as "city code, number" then the name comes from the phonebook.

Frustrating at times.

Exactly Scoundrel....yes i am in KSA and what you say applies, specially to land lines. I wonder why this is the case coz it was ok on the 8700.

the other thing is if you have content protection on the address book. if so when the device is locked, it will not be able to access the address book to give you caller id.
