Rogers website excludes the Perl from the list of bbTV supported devices. However I logged into the WAP Browser and installed it from the applications there and it works.

Yea, it is $5 per month for unlimited downloads (that does not affect your data plan).

They provide about 5 Global TV news updates per day, a well as SportsNet highlights and Finnancial news. Each clip is no more than 2 minutes. I find it particularly useful when I travel. The video quality is OK. The interface shows you the clips available from the past 2 days. Each clip takes about 2 minutes to download.

meh not worth it to me without actual tv shows like friends or seinfeild and what not... but meh maybe worth it to some people

I used that Rogers on the Pearl last year, did not like it.

Not really a fan of downloaded video clips in the guise of "TV." Did not like that they even call it TV because it isn't.

Back in the dark, evil days, aka when I was with SPRINT, I subscribed to their TV of the time. Was the same thing, 2 minute video clips. Was cool for about a week, then I decided I did not like it. Same complaints as with Rogers, choppy, not that good a pic, had to download and were only about 2 minutes at most.

I'll wait for real TV to come out. It's in the works.

But for now I love watching Seinfeld on my Pearl. I have all the episodes in AVI format that I converted to Pearl format. The other thing I do is record TV shows with my DVD recorder. Then put the disc into my PC and use Clone DVD Mobile to convert to Pearl format. A one hour show takes all of about 10 minutes to convert.

That's the extent of my TV on the Pearl and it does not cost me anything.

So is the tmobile pearl getting a live TV service like verizon has now? That would be cool.
