Two other must have apps for me (they aren't free) are JiveTalk and todoMatrix. JiveTalk is a chat program, and todoMatrix is an advanced Task Management application. They are great! A great free application is Beyond411.

Speaking of Beyond411, I've been trying to get it for the last few days and I think their site is down. Does anyone have the cod/alx?

They gave out 10,000 free licenses during a promotion, which is now over. You have to pay for it now.

I downloaded it from their web site, like I said I don't know how long it will last, but so far so good. Will it stop working, anyone know when?

Smile my favs - 07-22-2007, 12:18 AM

Good list! Thank you, I just went and picked up Beamberry.

I also use these...
Beyond411
Opera mini
BBWeather
MicroSky
Medieval Kings Chess 2
Tetris
Poker Blast
Bass Assassin
Texas Hold'em King 2
Sudoku (for people I know who I let use my phone,I hate it, but many, many people love it.)
Compose Email Shortcut
Soft Reset
Quick Note Shortcut
Stop Watch
Ramble IM
Color Ball
BBCorrector
Gmail
BlackBerryAlerts
TipMaster

Micro Sky was free when I got it and it is really cool.
It will allow you to choose an area and then show you the local sky. I use this as I travel to know what I'm looking at up there, as I never was one to remember all those little dots. Well I can find the big dipper and a few of the easy ones....

handango is so greedy, 49.99 ?? crazy!!!
I have bought from them but they really are out of control.
I bet if they made prices more reasonable they would make more over-all. I don't think they are smart enough to see that however..

When I had a Palm (well, I STILL have a Palm but I use my bb), I would search both PalmGear's site and Handango.

I honestly dont' think I EVER purchased from Handango, but I spent quite a bit on PalmGear's site!

GregH... thank's for the link!

I think you're right! (Not like they have to package or ship the software, or produce more copies of it!)

Hit the link that ends in .zip and use the application loader.

My list looks boring next to everyone else's but here goes:

1) Google Maps
2) InfoSpace FindIt!
3) Free Range
4) BB weather
5) Opera Mini 4 Beta
6) Soft Reset
7) ColorPearl
8) AutoLock

I don't understand how people can have so much stuff on their phones and still have enough memory to function properly (ie not randomly deleting messages when memory gets low). I have those apps and have done all the tricks in the book to free up as much memory as possible and still only have 21 MB of free memory.

Downloaded and demo'ed IdeaMatrix...this is an AMAZING program!

I really didn't think I needed a super charged memo pad... hey, I already HAD a FREE memo pad, came with my blackberry!

However, after reading about IdeaMatrix, I went to the developers website (ideaMatrix 2007 by REXwireless Software) , and watched their demo of the product... got my interest up.

Couple of days later, I decided to just download it, and play around with it. No WAY was I going to pay $$$ for a Memo application, but I'll check it out...

Well, this thing is really amazing! Consolidates info from your e-mails, appointments, contacts, the web... add reminders with an alarm, password protect specific memos, but the nicest feature is their Indi*Search.... allows you to quickly find any memo you entered, by searching ALL text, and it works FAST. The Built in memo app. only searches full words, and only searches the title.

Has limitless folder filing system, with drag and drop. You can easily reorder the folders, rename, or create new folders.

Also offers full backup to the developers website of all of your info, so if you ever lose your blackberry, your info can always be downloaded to your new blackberry straight from their website! Your data is also encrypted.

One of the most polished programs I've seen for the Blackberry! (They also have ToDoMatrix, but this fits my needs more)

Not cheap, but for me, it's easily worth it.

Download the OTA demo, and check it out if you think you might find it useful. You may be surprised!

Default Reverse Lookup - 02-18-2008, 09:49 PM

I updated my OS and now for some reason my Berry Reverse Lookup does not work? I get the following message, "uncaught exception: net.rim.device.api.system.controlled access exception". Any ideas on how to fix this or does anyone have a link to berry phone lookup that I can download and replace my existing copy with?

Options > Advanced Options > Applications > "Program Name" > Edit Permissions.

If "Connections" is set to "Deny" or "Custom", reset it manually to "Allow".

You will need to exit this menu and restart your BlackBerry.

All three (connections, interactions, and user data) are already set to "allow"?
