| I believe (someone can back me up) anything you download from iTunes comes locked so you can use them else where. I believe there is a program that you can use to unlock these files.
I could be wrong tho. I know all of my files that I have downloaded from iTunes has a little locked next to it.

| I will see if I can find it again. It took me like 3 hours of searching at work one day to find it.

| not only is itunes material in a proprietary format, it is also laced with DRM (Digital Rights Management). those are just two of the reasons itunes will never see a penny from me.
there are ways around this, of course, but their legality (or lack thereof) makes discussion of them frowned upon in most forums. see what you can find on google.

| One reason why is because the file from iTunes is downloaded as MP4 not MP3. I think I found one.

| Dirty, somebody posted something about this in the past week. Either burning a CD first and moving the music over from there, and a program from Finland or somewhere that does what you want.
I don't know, but you're a big boy and can search the board for iTunes in the past week and probably find the answer. | | Offline

| Man, I just can't understand how people can take a little ribbing so personally. Nobody damned you eyes.
Dirty, these guys actually provided a you with a bunch of useful information - and took it pretty easy on you. You should see the trash-talking Galvatron gets.
Anyway, a closed, carefully locked box is what you get when you're buying anything from Apple. Be careful with the warez sites that you'll find cracks on. They're full of trojans and viruses.
