So does anybody know if tmobile pearl will ever get the 3g network?

The Pearl is NOT 3G-capable, that does not have anything to do with TMO
Even the rumors about the Comet (Pearl 2) didnt mention 3G-Capabilities

IMHO 3G is not necessary for BlackBerry Service at all. Only the BB Browser would get benefits from it - not the normal message transfer.

Actually, other networking applications such as streaming media players, as well as tethering would reap the benefits, not just the BB browser.

yeah...i switched from a 700wx on Sprint to the Pearl...I love the pearl, but really miss the 3g speed and ESPECIALLY SLINGPLAYER

Yeah. I would love 3g for the fun multimedia stuff like web browsing and streaming media or video downloads. Tinytube videos take pretty long to load right now. that's the one thing I miss from verizon.
