hello everyone,

just got my pearl the other day. i like it so far! however, i have a few questions that i'm sure you all could answer.

for one, how can i delete my txt messages? is there a way to empty the inbox, or do i have to individually delete them one by one?

and second, i tried linking up to my computer the other night via bluetooth. i could connect alright, but when i tried to send a file from my computer to my phone, it said i don't have a service or something. and last night my friend tried to send me a file via bluetooth link from her phone, and the same message came on her phone. i suspect the pearl doesn't support OBEX exchange? i could be wrong.

1. You can go to the date of the point you want to delete, select the menu button and hit delete prior

2. You need to use the BB cd and install the desktop manager

so in desktop manager i can setup OBEX exchange?

Under the bluetooth settings I don't see OBEX exchange

hmm i was under the impression the pearl had OBEX

cannot send files via bluetooth to the BB

the only way i've been able to successfully send files between PC and BB is using the Media Manager in the Desktop Manager.

EDIT: and this function only works via USB connection. doesn't work via bluetooth.

dang that sucks.

And you can delete blocks of email by positioning the cursor on the first message to delete and then hold down the shift key while rolling the ball it will highlight and select multiple messages, then hit menu delete messages.

This should work.

Right-click the Bluetooth icon in your system tray.
Click Send a file.
Select the desired file and the recipient (BlackBerry handheld).
On the BlackBerry, navigate to the folder you wish to save the file to.
Press Menu, and then Receive via Bluetooth.
The PC and the handheld will communicate briefly.


Also, make sure that trust is turned on. It needs to be on both devicesChange the Trusted option to Yes on both the sending and recipient phones

Select the appropriate phone and press the Menu button then select Device Properties.
In the Device Properties window, change the Trusted option to Yes. Press the Menu button then select Refresh Service List.
Press the Menu button then select Save, to save the changes.

Try the search button too.
