Default So, I dropped my Blackberry...

Please Login to Remove!

It's barely a week old!

I was walking to work and it fell out of my hand, onto the concrete. The back/battery cover came off and got scratched, badly. There are also a few minor scratches to the side. It's fully functional, otherwise.

Argh.

I ordered a replacement of the back cover, but I was wondering if T-Mobile would replace the entire phone for me, or if I would have to pay for this.

If you have insurance they will replace it if it gets lost or stolen for a fee but even under the 14 day return policy I don't think they will let you exchange it for a new one just because of a drop

I think you are stuck with that phone unless you can bs them pretty good to get a new one.

You have nothing to lose by trying.

Thanks for the responses so far. I'll call customer service and explain the situation. It's not a huge deal either way. I could just use the replacement cover and live with the minor side-scratches.

Will definitely try CS, though.

For the future I would recommend getting a case. I got a hard plastic case from my local swap meet for 10 bucks. I too dropped it on concrete and thanks to the case nothing at all happened.
