Default Seidio Headphone Adapter Problem

Please Login to Remove!

I've had my adapter for a couple months now, and yesterday the sound started only coming out of one ear. If i play around with the adapter i can get different effects. I have discovered that if i pull it out slightly it will become stereo again. Has anyone else experienced this? Are these warrantied?

Although it wasnt made to be used with headphones, this adapter should allow it to be. It was working great for a while! Maybe just poor construction...

I apologize if you're having problems with your audio adapter. Please email me your information and original order number and I'll make sure you get a replacement.

Thanks

I am not sure that the Seidio adapter is the problem. I think it is the Pearl's audio port.

I have lots of 2.5mm headsets, earphones and three Seidio adapters.

They all have the problem you mention. When I twist the male end of the device it goes from stereo, to one ear, then back to stereo.

Since this happens on all my devices I have to say it's the Pearl port. If you look at it closely [I have, with a jeweler's loupe] it's not all that well constructed.

I read somewhere that the rumored Pearl 2 will have a 3.5mm audio port and it will be improved. I suspect that what RIM is talking about is improving the construction.

I am having a similar problem with my Seidio adapter. It was working great and all of sudden stopped working. I would love to get it replaced if possible. I will try to email also to see if I can get a replacement. It is not the 2.5mm port on the phone as my headphones still work, but i need an adapter.
