Hello,

I've seen this happen on a couple of our phones. Once the user receives and clears the messages the counter does not reset. I am POSSITIVE all messages on the BB have been marked as read but the counter is stuck on 45. I've done everything but a hard reset. Any suggestions?

Have you tried doing a search for unopened mail? Go into Messages -> Search -> set the 'Show' field to 'Unopened Only' and then search.

If you find any, click the ER button to go to the top of the list, press menu key and click 'Mark Prior Opened'.
