I got the BSE skin and the Seidio clip swivel holster for the skinned pearl. Looking at these items together, I think i should have gotten the un-skinned version. I have not put on the BSE, but it appears that even with the BSE on, it looks like this holster will be way too loose. Is this just an optical illusion? If not, what do you all suggest? Should I order the rubberized skin from Siedio? If so, can I still use the BSE? Should I exchange the holster?

Seidio Clip holster for skinned pearl is ment to be used with the "siedio skins" meaning the rubberized "cases" that they offer. I have a BSE and the Seidio Rubberized case together, just be careful when putting the case on or off, can screw up the BSE. If using only the BSE buy the regular holster and return the "skinned" one. Or buy a siedio skin if using the skin holster. Hope this helps.

Like he said. What I would do is order a rubberized case from Seidio, as that is what will fit into the holster you bought.

You can also use any rubber case [that are flexible and feel like a wetsuit]. The holster is wider so to accomodate the Pearl with a case or skin on it.

I have the Body Glove rubber skin on mine, that I use with the Seidio holster. Works perfect.

Bonus Comment: IMHO you need better protection than simply a BSE skin. The BSE only protects against scratches. You need a rubber skin or plastic case to protect the Pearl when you drop it [you will eventually drop the Pearl, everyone does].

It is as I feared. I think I will buy the SEIDIO REPLACEMENT DOORS WITH SPEAKER OPENING & RUBBERIZED CASE FOR 8100, and only put on the BSE part that covers the screen. Then I will have better drop protection, the screen will be protected, I will be able to hear the speaker a little better, and everything will all fit together. Before I order the new parts, does all this make sense?

That should work. You could have gotten the Seidio hard plastic screen protectors if that's all you wanted to protect, but what you said will work. If you drop it the Rubberized case will probably bust, but your pearl may survive (it's really thin, made of pretty hard plastic, not very rubbery at all, it's claim to fame is its lack of bulk).

Yes, the seidio screen protector may have been a better choice, but I already have the BSE.

Got the back plate-rubberized case combo in the mail today. I'm feeling cooler now. I will report back with my findings.
