Default T-Mobile Connection issue

Please Login to Remove!

I have two 8100's on a family plan with T-mobile. Both phones are having a connection issue of some sort. Dialing in and out the phones make a connection but no audio can be past either way.

The customer service rep said it may be because we don't have to $20/month BB msging service.

Anyone heard of any problems like this?

Check the volume. You can adjust it using the volume buttons on the right side of the phone. This could also be a problem with the phone. Have you tried a battery pull or upgrading to the latest OS?

The BlackBerry data plan is only required if you want to use the Internet service, email, and BlackBerry Messenger. The CSR either lied or was misinformed.

Which OS version are you running?

Please call back into tech support and ask for Tier II Blackberry and PDA. Audio issues like the ones that you are describing that happen on multiple devices have nothing to do with either the hardware, or the os, although the replies here are all very good. Multiple devices suggest a network problem.

The reason I asked about the OS is that there a couple threads about people who have intermittent call dropping issues, and it's because they've upgraded their OS's and it's causing issues with the phones.

Tell the service rep to put the crack pipe down and transfer you to BB/PDA support...

I doubt you have 2 defective BB's, but it is possible... My guess however is that it's an issue on their end...

Totally with you on this... What kind of people do they hire that cannot put two and two together? & to suggest it is a data plan issue? Man give me back to the airhead receptionist cause she's got more sense.

Two BB's having voice connection issues has got to be OS or network, network can also simply include where you are. Have you had good voice with t-mo at that location?

BB rep simply trying to sell more for commission?

I had a problem with audio issues earlier today and basically I upgraded the Blackberry handheld software and it seemed to resolve my issue. You might try that..

Go to options menu and select 'about' and note what version of the handheld software you have. Then go to Unsupported Browser and see what version is the latest.

Hope this helps.
