Zoom on camera no longer works on my Pearl. It is stuck on 1 x

I thought I might have turned it off somehow

I used to use the pearl trackball, move it forward to zoom, move back to zoom out

any thoughts?

The most common fix for any problem you are having with the Pearl is to reset it. You can download Metsfan's free reset program or simply remove and reinsert the battery.

That should fix the zoom feature [Which is useless in my opinion. Pics really look lousy when zoomed].

I have also had this problem and I used a can of compressed air to blow around the trackball.

Genius Pulled the battery, put it back in, and zoom works again. Go figure. Thanks Guys

IMHO we are asking the Pearl's OS to do quite a lot on that little phone's processor, so that is why things get gummed up from time to time. A reset fixes most problems.

I do a soft reset every morning so to refresh the Pearl's memory. I don't wait for problems to occur.

Using Metsfan's FREE soft reset program makes resets easy as 1, 2, 3.

Install it and reset every day.
