I actually just noticed this as I emailed some of the photos I had taken, and there were some that were 96kb, 14kb, 25kb etc. I have the camera set to 1280 X 1024 superfine, so why would some be differently sized?

It depends what the picture is of. A very vibrant diverse coloured picture contains more information than one that it of a single colour or not as bright.

That sounds like you are accidentally using the Pearl's zoom feature. Happens because you are moving the trackball when about to take a pic.

Just make sure that the zoom indicator says "1X" when snapping a pic.

By the way, the zoomed pics should look lousy [grainy and out of focus]. IMHO the Pearl's zoom feature is worthless. Search "camera zoom" in BBF to see why. Mainly because it's a digital zoom, which I explain in other threads.

well, even i do not zoom i have the same problem when i download them to my computer and see them with ..let's say windows picture viewer.
it's not about quality. it's about size.
some are smaller some are bigger.(resolution)
