Default HUGE PEARL problem Please HELP All contacts LOST!

Please Login to Remove!

Hey every one this is extremely urgent. I upgraded my firmware today to the latest firmware(4.2.1.164)and every thing seemed to have gone fine until i saw my contact list had been erased!!! I did a back up before i upgraded and every time i try to restore it it says "Could not establish communications with device. A required application is missing from device".

Some one please help!

Relax....I don't have the answer but be patient I know someone here will. It sounds like you need to load an application from the DM to the Pearl. I just don't know which one....

Hang in there....

I understand!! I am sure someone will help! In the meantime, when you go into the Application Loader on the Desktop Manager what programs are listed?

Scratch that....I think that something went wrong when you loaded the OS.
Let's just wait for the troops here.

If you sync your contacts to Outlook, you never have to worry about losing them. If something happens, you can always do a new sync. I've been syncing contacts between phone and Outlook for a long time and the ability to sync is one of my primary requirements in a phone.

Hi, I currently have the same problem with my blackberry 8800, I would like to download Blackberry Md5 runtime and try to see what happens.

Where's the best place to download this?

Thx a lot!
