Default Did my pearl corrupt my memory card?

I updated to the .101 OS, and was not able to access pictures on my memory card (pictures I had taken with the cell camera). I tried un-installing extra featured I didn't need, and I was able to view my pictures. However, now that I am able to access them on my phone, I can't find them on the computer when I have the desktop manager open. The files names have changed themselves to "jpg.rem".

Is there anyway to salvage these pictures?

Just a suggestion (no promises)... grab a multi-media card reader (USB device for your PC/Mac) and pop it in there, load it up, and snag all of your pictures. Delete the .rem extension, format your card, then load em all back up and give it a shot.
