i switched to tmobile a few months ago and recently ive been getting strange text messages from these 3 #'s: 509-811-8411, 509-669-6876, and 509-719-4030. They all say the same thing when I get them; Appelez-moi s'il vous plait? (Then the phone number) MERCI. Just translated it, it says call me please, # thanks

Now I'm assuming it's french but i don't know what it says and I sent them a text back to see what the deal was and they sent me the same exact text back. So I called them and they didn't speak english and they kept sending me messages after that. I have gone onto mytmobile.com and added filters to block those numbers with the text message filter/spam thing. I blocked the first one when i got it, then i got more texts from the second number and blocked that, then today I got a message from the third number and i have just blocked that one as well. I got my bill and it says the first 2 #'s are from Haiti. I don't know anyone in Haiti so I'm a little annoyed that I keep getting these messages. Is there any way I can find out where they're coming from and block them? I don't want to change my cell # either. Any help would be great, thanks in advance

if it is harassing, you could file a police report and have the number blocked by TMo. Otherwise, not a way.

There is a software, BerryBlocker, but i just don't recall if it blocks text messages. I know it does phone calls.

its not harrasing its just annoying as anything. whoever it is doesnt call me ever, just send texts

well learn French, and reply to them that they have the wrong number, you do not know them, and to please do not SMS you again.

If they do repeat, THEN it IS harassing, and you should file the police report. Otherwise, ignore it, if it is only annoying.

As an FYI (and you may know this), those 509 area codes are in Spokane, WA here in the states... No clue why its in french though!

*EDIT* ok if they are from haiti it makes sense that they are in french... The question is why 509 numbers are billed as haitian?

its a scam, you call them and they are aloud to charge you what ever they want per min. They had some guy here on the news with a bill over 120K, it was crazy I guess they called him hung up and he called them back and thats when the charges started. Becareful
