I've just received my Pearl 8100 (t-mobile).

Where do i download a firmware update from?

And is it possible to send data (pics, music files) from a Nokia / Sony Ericsson to a Pearl?

Firmware update for the newly released OS is in a Sticky at the very top of the forum.

As for sending data:
Either MMS them,
Connect the devices via USB and transfer to desktop, then from desktop to the Pearl,
or you can attempt to Bluetooth between the devices and transfer that way.
I can't speak for the security restrictions on either devices, as to if they allow transfer of media files like you are talking about.
