If I want to listen to MP3s on my Pearl, what type of wired headset can I use (I know there is no BT yet)? I tried using the included earpiece but it didn't work??

you either are going to need to buy special headphones or find yourself an adaptor because the *normal* headphones size plug thing (sorry for lack of tech knowledge) the avarge size is to large and doesnt plug into the blackberry correctly

Just look 2.5M jack headset. I think there are quite a few decent one's out there. Verizon just released a pretty good set though a little pricey at $35. Check Amazon and you'll see a few options. If you aready have some headphones that you like, pick up a seido 2.5 to 3.5 adapter. Got mine on Amazon before I picked up the new set from Verizon and they worked like a charm.

You need to make sure that the plug on the headphones has the 4 connection points. You should see three plastic rings on it separating these four connection points. But even then they might not work right.

Try searching this forum. A lot of people have had problems finding good ones to work with their pearl.

I just use the ones that came with mine. At first I was trying to get some Jabra C220s but ended up getting some counterfeit ones off eBay that didn't work right so I sent them back for a refund. Then I ordered some off of Amazon but they were through a 3rd company that advertised on Amazon. Long story short they were counterfeit too and didn't work right. So I just said screw it and started liking the ones that came with it.

Look at this thread:

If yours didn't come with headphones you can get the blackberry ones here:

No problem.

You say the ones that came with your phone don't work?

I'd complain about that and maybe they'll send you one that works.
