Default 8100 Camera crashes phone...

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my new 8100 and when I click the camera button it pops up for a second with a grey screen where the picture viewer should be then the light at the top will flash red and the phone will restart... what is the problem and are there any ways to fix it?

Welcome to the forums,
That doesn't sound too good. It sounds like you may need to reinstall the OS.

There is a sticky at the top of this 8100 forum with the latest OS. It's 4.2.1.101 from Vodafone (if I remember right.) Follow the instructions there to update your OS. And, yes, other carriers OS's work just fine.

Default ok

Well I'm going to try to load the new OS and I hope it works... if it does not do you have any other ideas of what may be wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks for the fast reply!

Default hmm

None of that works... sometimes a window will pop up saying something along the lines of "could not connect camera try shutting down other applications"
