Hey guys this is my first post, i have searched the forums a couple of times and not found the answers im after. This is my first blackberry and i was just wondering how long the battery should last. At the moment im only getting about 1 and a half days of battery life, which is a bit annoying. Just wondering if this is normal or if maybe i should get a new battery?

sounds normal... batt life all depends on what kinda usage you are doing, mines last me 1 day if i'm lucky. reason being is i make alot of calls, cant think of how much, with my BT headset and alot of text msgs and emails (emails anywhere from 20-100 a day, depending on how busy i am)

so 1 day without me charging is good for me...

thanks for the info.. i dont use it that much so probably explains why i get a bit more than you.. but it is good to know that it is relatively normal and i dont have a bum battery.

I get even less than that per day.

1.5 days, a bit annoying? Haha.

I'm lucky if by the time I get home from work, I have 20% battery left.

I make & receive quite a few phone calls,
and bare minimum of 300 or so collective emails and SMS.

Plus, I listen to music for about an hour per day on it.

You can check around on websites like Seidio's and find extended batteries.

Welcome to the forums! I have also ben reading a lot lately that battery life also depends on the network you are on. CDMA (sprint and verizon) have significantly less battery life.

My battery usually lasts about 1 day. I receive and make a decent number of calls, about 30-40 emails, and always have JiveTalk running.

well I think it has to do more with coverage than actual provider, the battery performance decreases,, for instance, when there in no service, or no tower com. If it constantly searching for a tower, its going to die faster.
I would be interested to know if it was carrier specific. I have never heard that. interesting

is there a extended battery for the pearl that would give good or better battery life time?
