Default BB Messenger Servers

Please Login to Remove!

I looked around but could not find a susinct answer to the following.

Do BB messenger and Pin messages go through the BB servers or copporate serves when on BES?

If I am on BIS and I PIN or BB messenger someone on BES, what servers are involved?

Sometimes I send friends/coworkers non work related text that I would prefer to keep out of the IT dpartment.

I have one friend that can recive PIN messages but IT policy has blocked them from replying.

Anyonee have a quick summary of this all works?

Thanks

The BES Administrator can review any data on the BES handheld. Sorry!

Im shocked you couldnt find your answer its been discussed on here countless times but I will spoon feed you. Yes your BES Admin can read anything and everything on your BB.

If you dont want your empolyer to see what you are doing don t use his /her BB buy your own.

They can read email PIN anything they want to..

I guess I should be more specific. And maybe the answer can be derived from your reply.

The question is, if BB messenger messages go through blackberry servers (which I assume to be the case), how are they accessible by a BES admin on a coporate server? If the BB conects directly to the BB servers it shoud not go through a corporate channel. They are 2 seperate servers that the BB is accessing.

However, email sent to a corporate email server, then accessed by a BES BB would obviously be readable.

While it may not go through those servers, your IT people can log all messages, etc., including PIN. If they log it, they can read it.

It goes through the BES and then through the RIM servers. It's all logged.
