I've been reading thru the forums for awhile now and i havent been able to find a answer to this.

i've setup my gmail account thru my phone. but yet everytime i send an email
i get a copy of that email. and the reply i sent.

anyone know how to fix this.

and would it be from not setting up the BIS?

also setting up a blackberry email account.. thats free? (this is my 1st bb just wondering).

also the instant messengers included with the phone. do those use data or sms.

Go here and create an account:

https://my.t-mobile.com/Login/Default.aspx

(Yes it's free to set one up if you Purchase a Blackberry Data Plan)

Then

Following these instructions:

How to add / delete email addresses - BlackBerryFAQ

I am still puzzled as to how you are receiving duplicate emails if you have not set-up BIS. Are you using BES or Redirector?

And for a 3rd party IM application, I highly recommend JiveTalk. Smooth, bug free app that works with most popular IM accounts. Worth the price.
