Wirelessly posted (Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.1.7196/1704; en; U; ssr))

Hello folks...

The missed call icon has been on my screen for 2 days already and I cannot figure out how to clear it off.

I have already went to my call log to view the missed calls and that usually removes the missed call icon from the main screen. I also did a few resets and still nothing!

Any help is appreciated! I could not do a search as I am on the wap site right now and didn't see the option.

Thanks in advance!

Just to be sure nothing was missed, go to Messages > Search. Change the Type to Phone and the Show to Unopened Only. Then run the Search. See if anything is returned from the Search. If this works you can even save the search for future use.

If those don't work, you'll likely need to reload/upgrade the OS. It's been an issue on the Pearl in the past.

There is a sticky at the top of the 8100 forum with the latest OS for the Pearl. Follow the instructions there.

I am sure it does! This is the first piece of technology that requires one to pull the battery to solve a problem.
I don't have to pull the battery to my ipod, my walkman, my alarm, my car, or my television when it doesn't work properly!
Then again, this is the first phone that requires this it seems. I've had a few phones and have been fortunate to have them work properly. I am not looking forward to having "problems" on my Pearl!
But keep in mind I'll do what I have to make it work!

You obviously have never owned an IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad. Whenever my Thinkpad freezes up, the only way around it is to take out the battery and reboot.

Yep, because it fixes 90% of all BB problems.
