Everytime i exit the BB desktop manager, the application leaves behind it a process call BbDevMgr.exe. So for instance, if i started and exited the DM multiple times, then you will then have as many processes showing in your task manager. Is this normal? this behavior is new to 4.2 SP2 and causes my windows to hang when i shutdown.

Anyone seen this issue with SP2?

I have the same problem... XPsp2, Desktop Manager 4.2.2.14.....and under
"About... Components:

Device Manager 4.2.2.10
BBDevMgr 3.2.0.1
RIM USB Driver 3.1.0.1
RIM USB Serial Driver 2.1.0.4

with the following file locations:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\USB Drivers\BbDevMgr.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\RIMDeviceManager\RIMDeviceManager.exe

Closing the Desktop Manager does not close the Device Manager, and if you restart it, multiple instances of bbdevmgr.exe appear in the process list.... there is no "exit" option for the systray device manager icon.

I'm guessing I've got an old installation from 3.2 lingering... how do I get rid of it?
Anybody....? Anybody....? Bueller.....?

I didint have this problem with the older version of my BB desktop, and now i noticed this problem when i shutdown my laptop i would get these messages about waiting for processes to be killed. At times i would have 6 or 7 of these BbDevMgr.exe running. I guess a bug with the new version.

It's definitely not an older version of DM running around on your computer..

I have this issue on all of my computers while running DM.

I've become accustomed to hitting the task manager and killing the process..

Takes 5-10 seconds.
