Default Unable to display files

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, so I just got a Blackberry 8100 a few days ago, very pleased with it. Just purchased a 1g memory card for it. Now, I've moved all of the photos that I've taken (only a handful) onto the card, along with a .mp3 ringtone that I spliced up using my computer. For some reason now, my bb is "Unable to display file ..." whenever I try to open something on my media card.

I went to the BB website. I followed the instructions for reinstalling the system software, but when I open the Application Loader, the "Blackberry 4.2 System Software" Checkbox is disabled, making it impossible for me to uncheck it and reinstall the software.

Is there a fix for either of these issues? Will fixing the second issue lead to the first issue being fixed?

Thanks for any help!

For the initial issue, have you tried a hard reset? This is where you remove the battery (while the BlackBerry is powered on), leave it out for 30 seconds, then reinsert.

Personally I would do a quick format of your SD card, then re-install it into the phone and try once again.
