Question Inbox automatically emptied?

Please Login to Remove!

I have had users over the past few months complaining of their inboxes magically emptying periodically on both 8100 and 8300 series devices. There is no notification or error, the inbox just appears empty (with no affect on the user's exchange mailbox, of course).
This is, I believe, a known memory issue.
I am wondering if anyone has seen this before and/or been able to correct it. I am working on updating someone's OS now to see if that helps... but I guess this has been an ongoing issue to no avail has anyone been able to correct in the past.

Welcome to the forums.

They could be running out of space on their devices. You can try the steps outlined here Why is my BlackBerry losing its call logs or message logs? - BlackBerryFAQ to see if it helps.

Memory Leak.

Updating their software is a good idea... but you should also train them on doing a power cycle about once a day, depending on their usage.

Ok - this particular user had a bunch of photos stored on his Blackberry, so that was eating up all his memory (plus had his inbox messages set to keep forever instead of the typical 30 days) so I'm sure this will correct it if it was in fact a memory issue.

I've even got mine set to keep 15 days, and it's still too much. Haha.

Good find though!

My e-mails are disappearing. Is this the memory leak?

I have a Curve, version 4.2.2.89. Free Memory 977935.

It very well could be (most likely is at the level you report). Have you reviewed the link supplied above?
